२ बर्षे आबधिक बचत भनेको बचतकर्ता वा सदस्यले एक पटकमा निश्चित रकम जम्मा गरी २ बर्षको निश्चित अवधिसम्म राख्ने बचत योजना हो। यस योजनामा जम्मा गरिएको रकम तोकिएको अवधि पूरा नभएसम्म झिक्न पाइँदैन वा संस्थाको नियमअनुसार मात्र झिक्न सकिन्छ। यस बचतमा साधारण बचतको तुलनामा प्रायः उच्च ब्याजदर प्रदान गरिन्छ।
यो बचत योजना सुरक्षित लगानी गर्न चाहने, छोटो अवधिमा निश्चित प्रतिफल प्राप्त गर्न चाहने तथा भविष्यका आवश्यकताका लागि रकम सुरक्षित राख्न चाहने व्यक्तिहरूका लागि उपयुक्त हुन्छ। अवधि समाप्त भएपछि बचतकर्ता आफ्नो मूलधनसँगै आर्जित ब्याज प्राप्त गर्न सक्छन् वा आवश्यकतानुसार पुनः निश्चित अवधिका लागि नवीकरण गर्न सक्छन्।
